Exactly. I'll never understand peoples obsession with how using the SAM is a bad thing. Did it not occur to them that people who arent aspec and use it and later stop using it might just be confused and that the SAM just helped them get to know themselves better. I dont know much about SAM non-aspec people (i dont know any anyway) but I think its best to leave them alone and respect their choice to use it. If it helps them explain their experiences/feelings then I think they should use it.
I am only getting the aphobia because I started following and reblogging/creating aspec content again. I forgot how annoying it is to be out and active in the aspec community. Im not going to just stop but ...its still frustrating.
Yeah no I dont know what the h slur is at all. Maybe its because i said "dirty homosexual" but like also?? It doesn't make much sense. I could see possibly tagging it with homophobia or references to homophobia. I was joking mostly but the words have been used around me when people are being blatantly homophobic. But h slur???? What is that???
I can understand on some level why people don't like the word queer but i can and do still think its dumb. Queer has been used for a long time as a reclaimed slur. Not much different then gay tbh. Not to mention it comes off as more inclusive and tells people you are in some way not cisallohet without giving a history lesson on your own identity. I know WHY people hate it, but I also think the reasoning is kind of meh. A lot of people who call queer a slur tend to be aphobic, biphobic, and/or transphohic nowadays too. They don't like it because they can't immediately tell what you are and hate you for it. I can understand not wanting to be called queer, but I cant understand why people come on my posts and tag it like its something so hideous it shouldn't even be said full length. Just tag it queer if your followers don't want to see the word. Its not a slur in this context so why does everyone keep acting like it is
