(via Apidra sau insulina glulisine)
Apidra este denumirea comerciala pentru analogul de insulina umana glulisine. Apidra este utilizata in tratamentul diabetului pentru scaderea glicemiei.
this probably sounds disgusting, but my skin has felt so - in a lack of better word - ‘hard’ for the last two days, every shot of insulin takes me several minutes. it’s so upsetting and stressful, I wish I could just bash in a pump for a few days and get some rest from this. burn body, burn. ~
Body painted Apidra pen, real bruises from injections. MadeULook for a Cure.
I finally have an excuse to buy one of those arm/band thing's
I can put my insulin pump in it. Guys I'm so super nervous and excited for tomorrow! I'll be going off Lantus for the first time in 12 years tomorrow and I'll be using apidra only. And no more injections with needles, just changing my site every few days :) :) :) ..... and being able to have a little bit more control over my body :) ....
And in other news....
Going in for my first opp of the year on Thursday, I was supposed to go in December but didn't get around to it. I really, really, really want to bake today but I'm forbidden from doing so cause I'm getting my insulin pump on Thursday as well and my mom doesn't want any temptation in the house..... not that I really eat my own baking, I just like baking cause it's fun and I get to give people lil treats and spoil them. Going to gym around lunchtime to play squash again and do legs yet again.
Hope everyone is having a kick ass week so far!?
Welcome to all my new followers, you guys rock my socks :-P and my older followers keep kicking ass ♡♥
Hi! I was wondering if anyone is using apidra? (I think that's how you spell it haha!) i'm thinking of switching because my bloodsugars have been really high (in the high 200s for most of the day) and I'm not eating any carbs, really just protein and green vegetables. So if anyone is using apidra, has it been working for you, and are there any side effects? Thanksss!!!
I haven’t used Apidra but I know some of my followers have! Anyone?
Testing before dinner
So a disappointing 13.8 mmol/L. I guess I shouldn't have rounded down my insulin for that last treat as that would have put me around 10.8 mmol/L, closer to my ideal :-)
So a bg like that needs a 2 unit correction to hopefully get me back to where I want to be before bed. Dinner has an approximate carb total of 92g. My bgs will judge me at bedtime as to how good my estimation skills are!
Total insulin injected: 11 units
