Some embroidery details! Get those good closeups because I worked real hard on em. The silhouettes and some of the colours are actually the most accurate of the dress elements, the embroidery is not based that strongly on actual filipino patterns. I did try to emulate the kinds of styles of patterns; organic shapes, flowers and lines. But ultimately, I had the most fun coming up with designs that suited what each character would be emblematic of.

Day 3 & 4: Terno and the Maria Clara x Elphie and Glinda
These clothes are based on the act two dresses namely the no good deed and bubble dress! A Maria Clara would actually better suit Elphie’s no good deed costume because it’s a lot more majestic but I hadn’t done a Terno yet so here you go! Butterfly sleeves! Click for better quality!
Send me a musical theatre character to draw in traditional filipino clothing for APIHM!
