for the "word" meme: colors

One of my strangest altered color memories involves a lunchbox sitting on a shelf, in a house I couldn’t possibly have lived in. I was helping my mother clean this house- for what reason, I don’t know- and I distinctly remember tripping on my way up the porch stairs. As I tripped, I caught sight of the lunchbox, which I think was rainbow brite themed. 

Though I couldn’t have lived in this house (my parents moved down the road the year I was born) in my head the colorful lunchbox transformed into a TV that was on. I swore up and down that I had lived there, had been coming in from playing and noticed the TV as I tripped, despite proof positive from my older sister that it was entirely impossible for me to have ever seen a running TV there. 

I didn’t realize how I had altered my memory- from lunchbox to TV- until much later.
