I finally watched Utena from start to finish last year (after loving it in high school, but only being able to get my hands on the first two seasons because When I Was Your Age, getting your mitts on subtitled anime was like walking both ways uphill in the snow, or something). So ... this happened. Drawn for Chocolate Box 2021.

[all the moon rise, they seem to be glowing red, as if they were covered in blood. as if someone had made the moons bleed down to earth. the red glow fills the forest, its stronger than normal moonlight. it doesn't feel good.]

[as of sudden clouds of storm cover the moonlight, everything goes dark. the weather outside drastically changes, it will rain like a flood tomorrow]

...and usually touga's imitations are a cheap knockoff of the ideal he patterns himself off of. but akio shows utena a planetarium projection, while touga takes her up to the dueling arena to watch a real aurora... which is, unbeknownst to both of them, also a planetarium projection.
