Zombie Characters
Apocalypta Dead 7
Bride of Frankenstein: She is technically not a zombie, because she isn’t a dead person who became undead. She’s a reanimated corpse, brought back to life. Similar enough to the idea of a zombie, so I will put her here, but I definitely realize that she doesn’t qualify. See Also: Frankenstein Monster, because I’m just calling her and others like this that
Eliza Zambi Disney’s Zombies
Ghoulia Yelps: Monster High - Right there in her name, they tell you that she is a ghoul, yet, in their lore, they call her a zombie, so I’ll put her here... but I don’t like it. She is a goddamn ghoul... Maybe I’ll put ghouls here instead of miscellanous..
Jordan Gladwell iZombie
Melanie The Girl with The Gifts
Suzanne Crazyhead (Called a revenant within universe, sounds like a ghoul to me from what I saw, will put here)
I am gonna do an honorable mention of Lauren Howell from the Day of the Dead TV show, because she got bit, but we didn’t see her turning, so I’m just gonna include her.
By similar rules, some ish seemed to be going on with Roberta Warren that I didn’t quite get too, so I will be adding her as an honorary. If nothing else, as a Zombie Lover/Slayer.
Bree is the Queen of the Zombie Lovers, though. One day, I’ll make something of the monster lover tags, but not today.
Zombie Slayers are generally the characters that we follow in zombie media, not the zombies.
Okay. Sidetracking this post with definitions, because fandoms and universes do things however they want.
Zombie: A fictional monster. A dead person who has been reanimated through supernatural means and is often depicted as attacking and eating humans. Zombies are a common feature in horror movies and are often portrayed as lacking human qualities and unable to think. The term originated in Haitian folklore and Vodou religions, where zombies are reanimated through magical practices. American filmmaker George A. Romero is credited with developing the modern fictional zombie.
Ghoul: A legendary evil being that robs graves and feeds on corpses. Origin: The word comes from the Arabic word ġūl, which refers to a desert demon that is believed to rob graves and eat corpses.
Revenant: a person or spirit that returns after death or a long absence, A visible ghost or animated corpse that returns from the grave to terrorize the living, A corpse reanimated by a supernatural force, An undead being
These things are sometimes used for characters that are technically other types, but I feel like I will add any here under a tag.
