Artemis and Apollo Ryder
Last but certainly not least are my youngest Ryder twins, Artemis and Apollo, from my other AU fic The Sun and The Moon.
Artemis Lorelei Ryder, 18 yrs old
She has her father’s auburn hair and green eyes
Arti has central heterochromia, meaning the outer and inner part of her eyes are different colors. Her outer eye is forest green and her inner eye is chestnut brown.
While in high school she took six different extra-curricular courses.
She took two ancient literature (Gaelic and Latin), voice lessons, archery, kick-boxing and gymnastics.
She was voted “Worst Driver” and “Best Voice” in her graduating class.
She is a fan of steampunk, piggy back rides and vodka (Although her parents aren’t aware of that last one).
She collects knives and model ships (although she doesn’t tell many people about the knives).
She is a Poker Queen
She is terrified of hieghts
She has ADHD and Bipolar
Artemis =three nicknames: Arti, Missy and Siren. Apollo has been calling her Arti ever since they were toddlers and missy is her brother’s way of annoying her. She was given the nickname Siren after some kid tripped over their own two feet while trying to find out who was singing (she was in the choir room for her lessons, and some kid who was walking down the hall way heard her singing. Said kid tripped over their feet because they weren’t watching where they were going. After people found out who’s voice was the reason she was called “the siren”)
Apollo Levi Ryder, 18 yrs old
Apollo has strawberry blond hair and deep forest green eyes.
Apollo never really got into physical fitness, so for his extra classes in high school he elected for different languages.
He took German and Spanish once and Arabic twice
He also took a stick-fighting course (it looked a lot more fun in the vids) and several engineering courses.
He is deathly afraid of clowns and flying (although the flying only applies to shuttles and he has a very good reason for that)
Apollo enjoys horror vids (just for the love of god not IT), pyjaks and everything candy cane.
He was voted “Best Facial Expression” and “Most likely to attempt world domination” in his graduating class
He has ADD (very similar to ADHD but without the hyperactivity).
Unlike his sister he only has one nickname: Sparky. Artemis started calling him Sparky after he accidentally blew up his first omni-tool while trying to “improve” it.
Family
Artemis is a whole minute older (although she always acts like the youngest).
They graduated high school two months before the Arks left.
Arti and Apollo are both biotics.
Artemis’ are stronger, but not by much.
Apollo makes up for his slight disadvantage with his tech skills.
The twins have two sets of matching tattoos
circle type ones over their right ears (covering their implant scars).
Sun and Moon ones on their left shoulder blades.
Ellen is English and German, while Alec is 90% Irish.
The Ryder’s lived on the Citadel for the twins first 14 years, then moved to London soon after Ellen got sick.
The twins are both insanely intelligent and hella good at hand to hand combat (they used to joke that they got the best genes from each parent).
The twins are extroverted and huge flirts, both traits they got from their mother.
Even though they lived on the Citadel, the Ryder’s took frequent trips to Earth for family camping trips.
When the twins told their father they didn’t want to serve in the Alliance, it took him almost two weeks to get over it.
Since Alec was hardly ever home, Apollo took it upon himself to make sure the people Artemis dated were good enough for her, and still does.
