alright so lexi and i (@apolloes) were just discussing how we would have liked Trials of Apollo to be catered to an older audience (the LOK to PJO’s ATLA) and it would have capitalized more on Apollo’s 4500yr old experiences and come across less.... whiny and petulant.

the role of prophecies explored better than just sources taken over by evil romans - how a prophecy defined Luke and Percy and everyone they interacted with + how the prophecies affected Apollo

Ethan would be an excellent foil to Apollo who can be callous on a bad day and soft on a good day and Ethan is just nothing but the balancing of the scales. Tempering Apollo to understand his consequence.

I just miss Ethan Nakamura and it would have elevated the books? So much - you could explore so many themes on environmentalism, politics, how our civilization affects the gods and vice versa, balance between humanity and divinity, within our friends and famly and more. im so emotional

also we know WE KNOW rick can do friends to lovers so well...... imagine the POWER of another iconic 5 book friends to lovers arc which involves piper slowly realizing that her feelings for jason were actually her feelings for leo, and grappling with that while trying not to hurt jason, their cute friendly bickering but also a secret forbidden love for each other bc neither one of them knows if the other one remembers the truth, the charlie/silena parallels we were so CRUELLY denied, and then only once leo is gone does she realize the depths of her feelings and GOD!!!!!!!!

anyway hot take for today but if the tlh trio had been the main characters they deserved to be they all could’ve had SUCH GOOD ARCS but then :((((((( they didn’t

one of the ex-army demigods falls into tartarus with one of the chb campers and has to protect them from monsters - on a positive note, the ex-army member had really good relationships with the monsters and so they monsters are happy to leave them alone after a convo about how the fam’s doing

not to be controversial but god if an ex-Kronos army demigod replaced Jason I would be ok with that

DUDE i just started looking at the tags for the post of 3 people who were on kronos' side and WE HAD THE SAME IDEA (or v similar ones) but like, i feel like it'd heighten the drama if leo and piper weren't manipulated but were just angry at the gods (leo because of his mother's death, piper angry because she's seen what happens to her siblings and unclaimed demigods) + that they didn't have their memories wiped and jason finds out at camp they were on kronos' side and it's just AWKWARD

i really like the idea of them being morally flexible!! because i think out of the seven, piper and leo having this backstory could have heightened the drama by tenfold and just the internal struggle with this trio could have been explored and rick could have easily entertained the dynamics of a trio that didn’t get along right off the bat coupled with jason’s hesitation to trust the greeks, you know? 

i thought that if they could be in kronos’s army before knowing about chb and the first people to introduce them into the demigod world was kronos/luke and that’s where piper gets closer to silena because she was the spy? and silena would talk to piper about beckendorf and once silena died, that’s when piper decides that maybe kronos isn’t the good guy he was promised to be but it was too late to back away now?? and can you imagine the duality if piper trusted luke the way annabeth did, and when piper and annabeth met, annabeth almost sees what could have happened if she had joined luke in kronos’s army?? the possibilities are LITERALLY ENDLESS

yo i'm gonna use you for hair tips if that's all g so @ anon about ogx - what's the best one tho? because i've heard good things about it but i've tried the argan oil (blue one) and coconut one (white one) and like, i guess they help but not much. any general hair tips too from either anon or you maddie (also have v straight hair maddie that i do not know how to manage at all)?

i have literally had the most straight limp hair of my life right now and i wash it and nothing gives it any UMPF. i have to blow dry with a circular brush to give it its best look that will last liek 5 hours rip

i dont have trouble with frizziness or hydration, but this one looks like a good 1 to try
