We'll do a post when everyone is in our server! There's a couple of people who either submitted the wrong Discord ID or aren't accepting friend requests so we'll have to bump them in a different way. More than half of our members are in, though!

Absolutely! Since we will only bring in 20 people to have a smoother opening, it meant we had the very difficult job of choosing who would be the best candidates in the server. We actually had to randomly select a few people thanks to how well done the applications were. We’d love to see people apply again in our next opening, which should be in a few months depending on how things go!

You should get friend requests on Discord within an hour starting at 9:30 MST tomorrow morning! Most of our candidates have already been picked, though we have changed our choices based on new applications.
Member Applications - What to Expect when they Close
Hello there! Just going over a few things to expect when member applications close. A lot of this will be reiterated on the apps-closed post.
To get this out of the way: please make sure your Discord is accepting friend requests!! We'll be contacting you there from my account (with the nickname beowulf). If we can't reach you, we will message your Tumblr or other socmed account(s).
Firstly, we are accepting 20 people. The original number was 32, but 20 -- for a server count of 30, counting our high ranks and mods -- is more manageable and creates a cozier experience. It's VERY hard to choose seeing how many talented writers have applied so far, but it just means we can look forward to future application periods and what talent they may bring! We're not just looking for "correct" writing -- creativity and interest is key.
Secondly, you will be assigned a clan when you are contacted. Sorry that it wasn't made clear on the form, but everyone who is DM'ed will be assigned a clan they make a character for. What their role will be is up to them when they join but we will have a cap on caretakers and gardeners. A few people asked to be caretakers or gardeners; they will have priority in the role first.
Thirdly, NPCs will be permitted but there are specific instructions in the server for NPCs to prevent overpopulation and stagnant background characters. Please don't get too attached to a character idea or an NPC idea just yet! While we will start out with one player character, that number will increase in the future, so don't worry about getting too antsy.
Lastly, I just thought it was neat that our most popular Option 1 roleplay sample was Stoneskip and his exiled sister. You guys really went hard on it.

One more day! How is the final count looking for high ranks? Also, how are applications going to look for regular roles? I know you said we wouldn't be making characters until we get in, so what questions are we to expect? Thank you and good luck for upcoming applications <3
One more day indeed! We’re currently at 14 applications! That’s double what we needed!
The application for regular roles is fairly simple. It’s just asking for a little bit about you and a roleplay sample at first. Later, it asks you what clan you prefer, why, if you have any character ideas, and what rank(s) you want the most. It’s also got a couple of questions about the kind of events and roleplays you prefer and a couple about how you like to contribute to servers.
We’re looking for people with creativity, mostly! People who seem to have interest in the server more than just applying to apply.
