last night i saw a white person say the message of kendrick's halftime show is that "dei isn't going anywhere"
Sorry to ask this anon, just cause I was worried I might offend with this suggestion but...
I saw your most recent ask about being caught in a cycle about being too burned out to write because of your full time job.
I have a totally unsolicited suggestion. What if you crowdfunded for a set amount that would allow you to take like, a month off? And then you use that month to turn a specific project or something around.
Of course I understand it may be impossible to complete anything in that time frame or maybe it would be impossible to take a month off, I'm sure there's a laundry list of issues with the idea.
I only suggest it because from my perspective you're one of the Big Fandom Writers. People like helping if they know it's for something specific, if it's for a specific outcome. You never know? It might help you break out of the cycle and I think if anyone could pull it off, you have a pretty good shot?
Hope that's helpful and if not I hope you find some other way to break the cycle

You don't offend me, dear, though being called a "big fandom writer" does make me want to run for the hills.
I appreciate the suggestion, but the fact is I'm super burned out and can't guarantee any kind of turnaround timeline. I wouldn't want to make a promise I couldn't keep. And the nature of my two jobs is that one is a full-time desk job that I can't take significant time off on, and the other I wouldn't be able to walk away from until my contract is up in a few months.
The fact is that I need to be able to afford to pay my bills while also having time to recover from the burnout. When I was "recovering" the last few months, to get more specific, I was recovering from working 5-6 jobs for six months. But I wasn't taking a vacation. I still had both my full time and my part time job. So I wasn't really getting as much rest as I should have. What I need is to get down to just this one full-time job, no others, and then take the time to rest when I can while writing without any kind of deadline hanging over my head.
I'm simply incapable of switching to writing a project with a deadline over my head like that right now.
I'm not saying it's a bad idea! I hope that others who see this post might consider it and figure out if it works for them. But the frustrating fact is that I'm still incredibly burnt out, and it would not be fair to me or to anyone who donated to the crowdfunding to attempt that.
Thank you deeply for your consideration though, it means a lot. Stay safe.
