Evie was nearly done with her shift for the day, and she was glad. She couldn't wait to get home and get out of these damned robes. She loved her job but despised the uniform. Sometimes she got a glimpse of the lime green and instantly got a headache. She knew why they wore them in the field, it made them more visible, blah blah blah, but why couldn't they wear neutral colors in the hospital? Nobody was going to mistake them here! Regardless of her annoyance, she knew that she had to keep up her professionalism when she was with her patient, and she forced her 'patient' smile onto her lips as she pushed open the door.

"Hello, Mr. Liebman. What brings you to St. Mungo's today?" She asked him. "I'm Mediwitch Macmillan."

Severus stepped out into the cold night air for a smoke. One day he might be able to weather a full evening of socializing without desperately needing a break, but he didn’t anticipate that happening any time soon.

He had his lighter out and a cigarette between his lips when he noticed the familiar figure by the entrance and stopped in his tracks. For a brief moment he considered taking off at a run — but that would be stupid. Forget dignity, he’d look like an idiot. And be an asshole. Which was, well, not on, at least when it came to this witch in particular. So he took hesitant steps towards his oldest friend, cigarette between his fingers, unlit, and shifted his weight from foot to foot when he was within hearing range. “ You know the party’s inside, right? Not out here in the cold? ”

"you know i hear you, filthy mudblood, come out and play." bellatrix pitter pattered along the cobblestone streets of diagon alley. she didn't even falter when others gave her strange glances for coming near them and showing how deranged she truly happened to be (which was very). the woman with the derisive locks and happenstance glare, happened to know lily evans was muddling somewhere nearby: she could somewhat smell the mudblood eerieness sifting through the air, and she didn't care to make known of where she stood. "come out, and come play, mudblood." she said, clicking her tongue with a feral glance, her eyes shooting towards others, who were obviously afraid of her: did they have a reason to be? yes.
