Soooo... that'd be ☼ then? I gotchu! Also, since you didn't specify who you wanted headcanons on, I'm just gonna do two with Mario and Luigi if that's okay.
☼ - appearance headcanon
Mario
Starting off, Mario's face is pretty simple. He has what he and Luigi like to call "dad's frown" where his eyebrows are a bit fuzzier than everything else to where he constantly looks a teeny bit mad if he isn't smiling (which he usually is). His skin is also a bit darker than his brother's due to genetics and a lifetime of adventuring (and the firebrand being an internal heater, so he has a sun kissed look). His hair, according to Peach, feels super fluffy and curly... especially in the summer when it frizzes up due to the heat (no joke, my guy could practically sport a mini afro with how much his hair frizzes).
As for his body... he's definitely on the heavier side. That's not to say he isn't JACKED though; bro could lift an entire damn house. He just doesn't look it because of his carb-rich diet from all his working out and adventuring. He also has a lot of thick body hair, mainly to hide his scars... of which has many:
A star-shaped one on his left shoulder from his wedding day when Bowser crashed it.
Three sets of claw marks on his right upper thigh, right forearm, and left shoudlerblade all from Bowser on separate occasions.
HUGE puncture wound scar where his right hip is (again) from Bowser.
Way too many knee scars to count from many things: some completely stupid and others traumatizing.
Burn scars on his hands from the firebrand and several bite marks from various enemies.
A large scar going down his back to his hip from his... uh... Superman tryout that ended with him crashing into a tree.
A vertical scar on his left forearm because he broke it. FIVE times.
A long scar across his stomach from when he tried motorcycling through the woods due to angsty teen rebellion (don't ask)
A long scar hidden behind his left ear due to a schoolyard fight that ended with him smashing his head against concrete.
He's not exactly one to spruce up; he saves those for special occasions like visiting his princess, lol! So it's not unusual for him to look a bit unkempt: one shoe untied, wearing that same shirt as Monday, his jeans looking a little baggy, the whole nine yards. He also doesn't dress up unless he needs to... hence why he usually just sticks around in his plumbing get-up (er... unless he and Weege had a PARTICULARLY bad day (if you know what I mean)). But once he's home, the overalls, boots, and gloves all come off and he's passed out on the couch.
Luigi
Now, Luigi's face is a bit softer than Mario's (they both joke that he got his looks from their mama). Unlike Mario, he actually takes time to spruce himself up quite nicely... mainly from OCD. So usually, his hair is neatly brushed, and his mustache is fluffy and straight, just the way he likes it. His partners say that his hair feels like kitten fur with how smooth and wavy it is... especially when he decides to grow it out. Luigi also has suuuuuuper long eyelashes, which he's quite proud of. Additionally, Luigi doesn't have that same darker skin tone as Mario's. If anything, Mario claims that Luigi is practically as pale as a ghost! And lastly, his ears are pierced... and he regularly wears earrings.
For his body, he's slightly overweight, but still relatively healthy. He calls his figure a "mom body" due to his thighs and hips being a bit curvier, which he is NOT a fan of (luckily, he solves this problem with oversized hoodies/sweaters and his overalls). Unlike Mario, he doesn't have as much body hair, mainly because he finds it way too itchy to deal with; he's okay with a little on his chest though. He also has quite a few scars of his own:
Bite scars around his right ankle from a dog attack when he was younger.
A small one on his lower lip from him biting it too hard (yeah... anxiety's fun/s)
Two sets of surgical scars on both of his knees due to a double meniscal tear and SEVERAL around them when he had to get them further fixed up after there was an error.
Lightning scars on his hands from his Thunderhand.
A scar on his lower back from helping Mario with the Superman incident.
Inverted T scars across his chest from top surgery
Several burn scars on both arms from his adventures alongside Mario... most of which he accidentally got.
And finally, Luigi, much like his hair, loves making himself look presentable. He has an entire wardrobe dedicated to just about any occasion, and an entire dresser dedicated solely to socks of any pattern (though the candy-cane ones are his favorites). When he's not out in public with his favorite pink sundress or his casual sweater and jeans, he's wearing a pair of comfy pj pants and a sweater at home with a book in hand and Polterpup snuggled into his side.
Shin: slightly pointed canines, chewed on nails, freckles on face, shoulders, and arms.
Ezra: blue hair (duh), a tiny bit shorter than Sabine (he gives short king energy in sorry he’s just teeny in my eyes he’s like Jerma height), slightly pointed canines like in Rebels.
Sabine: her skin is slightly more tanned, her hair color is closer to that in the epilogue, so like more blues.
Jacen: he has blue eyes like he used to, that’s about it.
Thrawn: they gave him his blue hair back (yes ik his hair was black in legends but this isn’t legends) and his weird cheekbone and forehead structure, also his skin color is closer to that of in Rebels.
The idea of Archive having red eyes brings to mind another question, do you have any other headcanons for what he looks like? I, admittedly, have more or less been imagining just Rune with goggles and redder hair this whole time, which isn't the most creative of me. That tapestry is really abstract.
Well, let's keep the goggles because that seems like a good thing for a mechanic to wear, and also because I like the idea too. Red eyes, since we've already collectively decided on that, and... hmm.
I see what you mean about the tapestry being abstract, because it almost looks as though his hair is the same as his skin tone. Which is weird, because if we compare to Zelda on the other side-
-they've clearly defined her hair as being separate from her skin tone. Which implies that Link's hair, back then, was... well, blazingly ginger, if we assume that the same pattern follows for all the tapestry subjects. He also seems to have quite a prominent nose. Maybe a pauldron on his shoulder... maybe a green scarf of some sort?
(of course, a prominent nose combined with vibrant red hair makes me think 'Gerudo', which... I'm not sure where to go with that, to be honest?)
Of course he also doesn't seem to be wearing pants. So let's take this whole thing with a grain of salt, shall we?
I'm gonna say a pale strawberry sort of blond for the hair. Probably a lot of little scars, because mechanics is full of sharp and pointy things, and... just for the sake of it, he wears those sorts of pants with a crap-ton of pockets. Just, pockets, everywhere. Everywhere.
a lot of art gives Shaw black circles under or around his eyes, and I think that’s meant to be shorthand for “villain” (the animated series Fabian got the same thing, massive black eyeliner on that fuckboy) but I’m taking it as Shaw having deep-set eyes and frequently dark circles/bags from working late multiple nights in a row
