Koro Kanto is the creation of two small-town, public school teachers from Tennessee digging through the rag and bone shops of their hearts to bring their musical visions to life. Sharing song-writing duties, DV Sanders' voice carries each song with an ethereal sincerity, while Ben Ayers approaches the instrumental parts with an eclectic blend of the styles he has played and studied in his career as a professional musician. Starting with raw folk songs, the duo thoughtfully craft intricate and textured arrangements which carry strong influences of 60s Baroque Pop (and Baroque Period for that matter), Alternative Rock and Shoegaze, and a myriad of traditional folk styles from across the world.  For anyone that likes a little Beach Boys with their Cure, or Pentangle with their My Bloody Valentine, please give their heart songs a listen.
