ok so me and my gf have been watching thru ben 10 together and we just watched the episode where rath makes his first appearance and like... right at the end of the episode theres a small line that kevin says about the tiffan being the reason ben was stuck like that and im... obsessed with that? like did that little dude send out a subliminal cry for help? did he know that his mum was upset and just want to stay with her or did he know something bad was gonna happen? how much did HE know about this "peace offering"? but also whyd it bring rath out? did he subtly manipulate ben into picking his most aggressive form?

my personal headcanon is that the specimens inside the omnitrix either keep some of the personality of the doner, or otherwise have their own personality that usually only slightly influences ben which leads to my fav headcanon about the situation which is that when the tiffan sent out his cry for help, it was rath that answered, forcing his way out of the omnitrix and refusing to leave until the tiffan was safe.

idk we know from the show ben isnt huge on taking care of kids so i just headcanon that rath loves them and was a strong influence on ben throughout the episode
