Meet the Apprentice: Shell (revamped!)

Aaand with this we have all the apprentices re-introduced!

So! Shell is the apprentice that has actually had some significant changes here since their first introduction. So let's look at that!

The most obvious is probably her familiar, Leel, which was previously a ferret but has recently been changed to a cat. The ferret was really cute, and I initially liked the idea, but it never really clicked. Almost thought maybe Shell wasn't meant to have a familiar until I realized that it's not the familiar that didn't fit, just the species. Would probably have realized sooner if I wasn't so set on giving everyone familiars of a species not used in canon, lol.

The second change, and something that I did announce during Apprenticember even if not in a proper post, is that Shell uses hearing aids! I didn't include this in her first introduction because I didn't feel like I knew enough about deafness at the time to properly include it, but I've tried my best to be better informed since then, so it's now official ^^

Apprentice doodle icons

And so I keep ignoring my to-do list in favour of... making doodle icons for my apprentices, apparently. Was it necessary? No. Did I do it anyway? Yes.

Now, I guess I could trick myself into thinking this has been me practicing my phone doodles, but if I'm being honest it's been me being bored and having zero impulse control... Whiiich is not to say that this doesn't count as practice, however xD

Anyway, my lovelies Alnair, Atlas, and Shell. They're not the best icons, but they make for good enough doodles. I just wanted to do something cute with them. I'll probably also do them as chibis like with the Arcana LIs, with different expressions and such. Also, someday I'll go back to illustrations instead of doing only doodles/chibis, I swear. In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this <3

Aprentices Pinknic

Coming a little late (and with being sick/injured I couldn't post it until now even when it's been done for well over a week), but I obviously had to make Alnair and Shell join Atlas in @bastart13 #pinknic fashion. Pink makes me think of sakura blossoms, so everyone got that in their outfit xD

Funny fact, all three of my babies are posed in their fav way to sit on the ground here, Alnair cross legged, Atlas with one leg up and one down, and Shell with her legs folded.

Also, this is the first thing I do from scratch on my tablet, so you'll have to forgive every character having different proportions, as I was more concerned with not making super shaky lines xD But well, I'll become better with time and practice... *cries in I still have a muscle contraction in my neck and can't really draw yet*

Meet the Apprentice: Shell

Aaaand last but not leat, here's Shell! About damn time I introduced her properly.I know that I'm giving considerably less info about her than about the others, but again, there's a reason for that. I'll be working on a series of drawings to tell her backstory so that you know exactly why Shell can't have a much developed default. You'll get to know her across the different routes and endings too, eventually. Of course, that's something that's gonna take a little more of time than doing a character sheet xD
