Managed to snap a photo of the piece I made myself for a wedding this weekend, let me know what you think ✌️ (at Nottingham Jewellery School)
Hot flying jump ring fail. Of course, it had to miss the apron. :/ #apprenticejeweller #jewelleryapprentice #hotmetal #jewellerfail #imrunningoutofshirts (at Park Road)
It might not be much to look at at this point but it is my first and I am moderately happy with the outcome. 🤗 #apprenticejeweller #handmadejewellery #sterlingsilverjewellery #imlearning #tafeqld (at South Bank, Brisbane)
If you follow our progress here at the gallery, you will know that May 6th marks the official launch date for our on-site jewellery school. With this in mind, I wanted to update you on the progression of my work over the past few months.
This image picks up where we left off, with some of the embossed copper samples that began my love affair with the rolling mill.
And here we continue, paper cutouts met copper panels and pipe, jump rings and coloured cord, each time pushing myself to make, create and assemble faster.
Then came the step into silver. Processes refined, memorised and pressed into something more precious. Whatever you say, I think the copper ones will always be as precious to me.
You can now check out the catalogue portion of my blog to see my latest collections, as well as follow me on instagram for all the behind-the-scenes.
And feel free to reach out with any questions using the ‘contact’ link at the top of my blog :)
A #benchpegportrait today for #marchmeetthemaker day two - favourite to make. This #copper #pendant was one of the first pieces I made at the #jewellery school, and sparked my love affair with the rolling mills in our #workshop. Yesterday I added the cord, and the hammered Shepard's hook closure in place of a standard chain. #apprentice #apprenticeship #designermaker #embossing #jeweller #apprenticejeweller #art #nottingham #nottm (at Nottingham Jewellery School)
