I've been working on this since last August, so it feels great to finally finish this piece!

it's based on the ending scene of Eve's Sayonara End Roll, when Fuchi throws himself into the ocean and hallucinates himself drowning as his childhood self in a field of flowers basking under the sun. The whole song reminds me of Diluc so much, so I just had to draw it!

aprilluc day 5: chest

warnings: mention of battle scars and burn scars, this is super short lol, gender neutral reader

a/n: super sorry this is kinda badly written and super short. i’m distracted and kinda unmotivated to write rn but diluc is super important to me so i can’t just not participate in aprilluc. next day i’ll be doing will be day 9: vampire!

lazy mornings with diluc.

they really are pleasant. lying down next to him in your shared bed, resting your head against his muscular, scarred chest. one of your hands running up and down, from his pecs to his midriff, occasionally tracing one of his many scars with your fingers.

some of the scars you knew not to touch, others you knew diluc would be delighted for you to run your hands over. there were a couple you learned the hard way that you shouldn’t even look at.

diluc was trying to overcome his dislike for the scars on his body. especially the ones on his chest and arms. he had been trying so hard to understand why you love to look at and feel them so much.

while the two of you were silent with thought and drowsiness, one of diluc’s large hands reached out and grabbed yours while it rested on his chest.

“sorry, did i touch a bad one?” your gaze turns to his face, your eyebrows furrowed with concern.

“no, no. could you.. do the constellation thing..?” diluc requests softly, a hint of embarrassment in his groggy voice.

you smile, nodding gently before diluc releases your hand, allowing you to do what he asked for. you use your index finger to move along his torso, moving from scar to scar.

“these make ophiuchus.” you pause, trying to play connect the dots with the dark marks on your boyfriends body. “mm.. oh, these make cassiopeia.”

diluc found this so comforting. listening to your gentle voice, feeling your fingertip slowly tracing the constellations on his skin, and not having to worry about work. he almost had to wonder if he was still dreaming.

once you had run out of ideas, you laid your hand down on his chest once more, placing a kiss on a scar he received from a mitachurl. it had become one of your favourites. all of his scars and imperfections simply added to his beauty.

sweet, lazy mornings like this, will always have a place in both of your hearts.

Happy Diluc day! This man has been carrying me since day one of genshin and I still main him to this day. He’s the reason why I keep coming back to Genshin.

And next year I will try to complete Apriluc
