He nodded. She was not stupid. For a Christian and someone he’d not imagine had much tactical strategy, she was not an idiot. He watched her look at the table, still trying to figure her out. All he’d managed to learn so far was she was stubborn and didn’t respond well to his charm. “I would look to the person with the most to help, for the least to want in return. You always want to gain the most. For example, leaving me made more sense than leaving my father. My father is physically weak, whereas I am physically strong. You all gained a warrior, in the process, despite how much you all don’t trust me, knowing that I could ruin you all in a second.”
