Concept: my family recognizes that the reason I don’t like having my picture taken has to do with my deep-seated self confidence issues, and aren’t complete assholes about it.

I just want to be able to do the things I love, and I can’t do those things because I spend all of my freaking time just trying (and not succeeding, might I add) to stay afloat. Between my stupid low paying job that I need to support myself and my stupid school where the professors think that they don’t have to take their students seriously because it’s a community college and can’t be bothered to actually show up to class on time, I can never get a second to actually spend time trying to better myself in the areas that actually matter to ME and the life that I want to pursue because I have to spend all of my time trying to understand the difference between ionic and covalent bonds, and how the various parts of the brain influence behavior. AND THEN when I finally DO understand these concepts (that are pointless in the field that I want to go into anyway), to the point that I’ve worked my way to THE TOP of the class, I fail FOUR FREAKING ASSIGNMENTS because of A FORMATTING ISSUE (which she wasn’t particularly clear about in the first place) because my professor couldn’t be bothered to grade and hand back the first one until a month after I had turned it in, a time by which it was already too late to fix my formatting mistakes on the following three assignments. And when I tried to ask for an opportunity to make corrections to the formatting, I was told that (contrary to what she said at the beginning of the semester) she wouldn’t be allowing us to make corrections because she doesn’t have the time to grade them. This wouldn’t be such a big deal, except that I WORKED MY ASS OFF to earn a FULL FREAKING RIDE scholarship, that I’ll lose if I don’t maintain a certain GPA. Oh well. Guess I’ve just resigned myself to fail out of community college and live in my parent’s basement for the rest of my life.
