T I B UR O N // PART 2
by Mirko Lalit Egger
Octonauts and Wild Kratts are aquapunk and solarpunk
It's Portfolio Day! I go through fine art and comic art phases, so I'll share some paintings next time. Here's some of my comics and illustration work. Shown here is a commission, an pages from a Transformers fancomic, Aquapunk, and The Titan, respectively.
Riding the Wave of Aquapunk 🌊🤙
In a world where technology meets the tides, where the streets are rivers and the sky's a neon blue, emerges the raddest genre of them all: Aquapunk. 🚀💧 Imagine a future where our cities are submerged, but instead of drowning in despair, we're surfing on the crest of innovation, flipping the script on what it means to be cool. 🏄♂️✨
Aquapunk isn't just about underwater goggles and high-tech surfboards; it's a vibe, a way of life. It's about riding the waves of change with style and sass, flipping off the status quo as we carve our own paths through the digital currents. 🌊🖕 We're rebels with a cause, blending the grit of cyberpunk with the fluidity of the ocean.
Picture this: skyscrapers piercing the water's surface like towering coral reefs, their neon lights casting an otherworldly glow on the cityscape below. 🏙️🌈 Submersible hovercraft zip through the streets, their hydrodynamic designs turning heads and making waves. 🛸💨 And the fashion? Think futuristic wetsuits adorned with holographic patterns, accessorized with glowing LED jewelry that pulses with the rhythm of the sea. 🌟👗
But Aquapunk isn't just about looking fly; it's about harnessing the power of technology to reclaim our world from the depths. 🌍🔧 From hydroponic gardens that float above the city to aqua-engineers retrofitting old buildings into underwater habitats, we're redefining what it means to thrive in a world where the land meets the sea. 🌱🏗️
And let's not forget the music. 🎶🤘 Aquapunk beats pulse through the underwater metropolis, blending electronic synths with the soothing sounds of the ocean. 🎵🌊 It's the soundtrack of rebellion, the anthem of a generation determined to make waves and ride them to a better tomorrow.
But beneath the surface of this shimmering utopia lies a deeper truth: Aquapunk is more than just a genre—it's a mindset. It's about embracing change, challenging authority, and daring to dream of a world where anything is possible. 💭🌟 So grab your surfboard, don your holographic shades, and join the rebellion. The future is ours to carve, one wave at a time. 🏄♀️🌅

Final round of rotoscopes, in page format since instagram isn’t here to fuck with me! These’re pulled from Lo’s Aquapunk, which is a lovely mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and supernatural and brings up so many questions it’s a bit difficult to say it’s about one single thing. If you like worldbuilding, existential exploration, and revolutionary fiction, I’d check it out!
go read aquapunk tf fans. do it. right now
