Aranea Serket x reader headcanons? 😋
Thank you for the ask! I actually had to do some research for this one since she’s one of the few homestuck characters I’m not too familiar with. I know her character basics and who she is, but I never explored her character in detail, so this was fun to do! Sorry if anything is ooc or inaccurate because of it.

- A diva. A queen. A woman who knows how to treat someone right.
- Aranea is a good listener and clear headed, but she’s always got a snarky remark to throw.
- She’s very protective of the relationship you two have and doesn’t let other people’s opinions affect how you two love each other.
- She loves it when you wear her sign. I have a headcanon (don’t know if it’s canon lmao) that wearing the sign of the troll it represents is liiiike a mark of some kind? Like “I’m taken” and it’s like a cute lil matching romance thing. She melts into a pile of goo when you do.
- Aranea has unparalleled psychic abilities, moving planets and controlling an army with nothing but her mind. What does she use these powers for when she’s with you?
- Well, obviously to float you up to shelves you can’t reach, or carrying you when your feet get tired, doing chores with you, etc.
- This troll could level cities but instead uses her abilities to help you and make you feel loved.
- Like most trolls, she loves when she can put you in a pile she’s made.
- Let her dump you on top of one, it’ll make her year.
- She doesn’t want you to meet like- half of her “friends” (could they really be considered friends?)
- You eventually do no doubt and she’s so embarrassed.
- Like, Latula, Porrim, Mituna, and Meenah are okay. They’re nice most of the time, maybe a bit mean spirited or judgmental, but they’re good friends.
- On the other hand, Cronus immediately tries to put moves on you, Kankri starts lecturing you about whatever, Kurloz and Meulin are high as kites in the background, like- it’s just a mess.
- You took it in stride and made it out alive. Meenah liked you though! And that’s saying something!
- Aranea loves when you listen. While they may be bottom of the barrel standards, it’s what she truly seeks out in a partner. She’s constantly ignored and talked over and appreciates how you actually take the time to remember what she says and consider her point of view. It’s like- her main love language.
- Let her do your makeup. She’ll sit in your lap and brush on pretty colors and shades, making your face warm with how close she is and how delicate she’s being with you.
- Assuming you’re a human and not a troll, she’s constantly worried about you. Humans are such fragile creatures compared to trolls! They die at the drop of a hat! A lot! It’s concerning!
- You get the flu one time. High fever, throwing up occasionally, lots of drainage and general bad times.
- She freaks out so bad she calls Porrim, the one with a “relative” who’s dating a human.
- Porrim (after talking to Kanaya) ensures that you’ll heal up just fine and all this hubbub is your body fighting off the sickness. You should sweat it out in a few days and be just fine. You’ll even be stronger because of it!
- This settles Aranea’s nerves enough to take care of you properly. She helps you eat, bathe, clean, just overall taking over until you’re better.
- She’s so relieved when you perk up again. Now when you get sick she doesn’t freak out as much, but she’ll always worry at heart.
- Coffee dates are a definite go to with her, but she also likes doing spontaneous things with you. This could be randomly going to the fair, driving out to random places you found online, trying restaurants you’ve never gone to before, etc.
- Loves to sit in comfortable silence with you while she reads.
- Oh my god if you got her a book? Like one she’s been eyeing or the next part in one of her favorite series? IF YOU SAW IT AND GENUINELY THOUGHT SHE’D ENJOY IT? She’s gonna kiss you stupid.
- Be prepared she’s not afraid of physical affection. She’ll respect your boundaries of course, but she loves hanging onto your arm or linking her arm with your’s.
- She’d really like it if you doodled on her. You don’t even have to be an artist or good at art, she loves silly little doodles all over her arms if you put them there.
- Lipstick staining your skin. She wears a really dark shade of navy blue so it’ll show up no matter the color of your skin.
- She loves leaving a big smooch mark on your forehead.
- she paints her claws a similar color and will paint your’s if you’re nearby.
- She’s an early bird and if you’re not she’ll let you sleep in, but she’ll wake you up before it gets too late.
- Always splits snacks with you and gives you the bigger half.
- Treat her like a princess! Hold the door open for her, open her car door, take her hand when she’s walking up and down steps, give her your jacket, flowers, the whole nine yards! She swoons over that shit.
- Probably has a secret obsession with fantasy themed romance novels.
- Another headcanon! Trolls shed layers of their horns every year, which makes em a tad bigger. It explains why some trolls horns are so big, like GHB. Aranea would be so grateful if you helped with the shedding process. You’d just be peeling away the parts she can’t really see or reach, but it’s a nice bonding moment.
- She and you hung out with her friends again and it was a disaster.
- Cronus wouldn’t leave you alone and people telling him off went in one ear and out the other.
- Aranea psychic’d him into the closest wall. Full force. No hesitation.
- It was incredibly hot.
- You swooned. Ugh. Love a strong, psychic diva.
- Meulin likes to tease you about how in love you guys are and Cronus avoids you like the plague now. Good riddance.
