okay so no matter what kind of relationship you're in be it poly, open, or mono

miscommunication should not be a norm

there should be steps and boundaries already in place to ensure that miscommunication does not occur and it's actually kind of awful that some people expect it and rather than compensating and trying to keep it from happening, they just cope and recover whenever it does happen.
