Let’s close out June 2019 with something completely different.  Arc Iris (Providence, Rhode Island) is a band formed by Low Anthem member, Jocie Adams.  I can’t say I’m a fan of Low Anthem, and I probably would never have heard of Arc Iris but I saw it in a “bargain bin” at a record store.  

I’ve been absolutely mesmerized by this entire album.  Over the course of the last two years my favorite musicians/bands have been Kishi Bashi, John Southworth, and Busman’s Holiday.  Arc Iris somehow combines those three and adds in a bit of Fiery Furnaces and The Divine Comedy.  

This was released back in 2014 by Anti-.
