Honest Haloway - I Need An Audience
We steered a bit into more dreamy & electronic jams lately, but Honest Haloway's 'I Need An Audience' brings us back to our roots, grounded in some synth-washed indie rock/pop/wave (pick your fave).
And they make it feel good to be home.
Having now dug through the rest of their catalog, the DC boys are an interesting band to watch. Their range is broad: from their dark, party rockin' 'Psycho Bitch' (video NSFW) from a year ago, to the infinitely head-nodding glitch-filled 'Eyes On Me' calling forth the driving flair of Phoenix, Gigamesh, and the chiming sounds we come to expect from a great RAC remix. Keep your eyes (or ears) on these guys. Much to look forward to!

It's certainly been awhile.
I know I've said this before, but I'm actually going to commit to this blog this semester. I think something that's going to ensure that I do is that I'm now writing a biweekly column for my schools online radio station, WVAU. Each week I'm basically choosing a city to explore, writing about its history, and upcoming local acts. So please please please, if you enjoy it (or have any reasonable suggestions for bands) let me know/share this with your friends!

I saw this really cool band at Artscape in Baltimore today. They're called Honest Haloway and everyone should check them out! (They're kinda indie/electronic... Kinda remind me of Future Islands)
