Moment in the Sun by Sunflower Bean is possibly the most Ilya-coded/Hollanov in TLG song to ever grace this planet
Nothing Romantic by Sunflower Bean, live on KEXP
2/1/26.
When I see a release from Reminder Records, I usually think reissue, and from the looks of Danny Ayala's "Only Fools Love Again" I thought this would be a late 1970s New York release.
Fooled. Not only am I wrong, but I've seen Danny Ayala play live more than once as the bassist for The Lemon Twigs. "Only Fools Love Again" is his 2nd album, but it looks like the first in physical format. It should be noted that according to the Bandcamp sidebar, Ayala has also toured with Sunflower Bean.
Ayala (Hicksville, New York) gets assists from fellow Lemon Twigs Brian and Michael D'Addario and Reza Matin (also of Uni Boys).
It's time for a recap!
2025 was a good year of music, it was the year that i discoved alot of niche artists and bands, as well as finding three bands and one artist that have a sound similar to Wolf Alice. As well as finding the core band/artist of 2025, so here is the recap of the new bands and artists of 2025
And 2025's Core band is ...
Bombay Bicycle Club
( I Knew When I Heard " Eat Sleep Wake Nothing But You They Were Going To Be The Next Core Band )

( The First Band I Found With A Wolf Alice Like Sound, I Love Their New Album "Soak" )
4 Los Campesinos
( " It's You!, It's Me!, Its Dancing!!!!)
5. The Last Dinner Party
( "The Scythe" was one of my favorite fall songs. I've been a fan of this band since I listened to Nothing Matters for the first time.)
6. Sunflower Bean
( The Second Band with a Wolf Alice sound loved Headful Of Sugar }
7. Marina
(The Comeback of Marina to this day, I'm still on a wild goose chase for Electra Heart)
8 Deep Sea Diver
( A band by a former Member of The Shins, Jessica Dobson, this band has been one of my favorite music discoveries.)
9. Swim School
( The third band with a Wolf Alice like sound. This Scottish band was a hidden gem, and their song Alone with you became my anthem of the year.)
10. Ladytron
( I discovered this band through a random CD find, and they added an electronic punch to my music this year)
11. Fear Of Men

12. Honeyblood

20. Death Cab For Cutie
( Technically ive been listening to this band for a while, but it was last year when they really shone though espeally during last fall, when their fourth album, Transatlanticism, became my fall album of the year. This year, Death Cab is a potential core band of 2026 )

I've already started listening the bands for 2026 so hopefully next January or December we'll go through the next one. Happy New year everyone!
Stay tuned for the list " cds of 2025."
Sunflower Bean - Moment In The Sun
Yes, I have another great song from the always amazing Heartstopper (S1 E8 - Boyfriend).
This is another great song that I tend to sing at the top of my lungs. My many neighbours must adore me because I have yet to receive a single complaint.

Live Review: Wolf Alice put on a show with substance at the First Direct Arena
When I tried to describe Wolf Alice to someone who hadn’t heard of them, I struggled. So that doesn’t bode well for this review. Continue reading Live Review: Wolf Alice put on a show with substance at the First Direct Arena
