Just got back from date number two with the date friend. We visited the Cradle of Aviation Museum for their Arcade Age exhibit, which basically talked about the history of arcade games.
They had just about every arcade game you could think of. It was insane. They even had a few Japanese machines. AND ALMOST ALL OF THEM WERE PLAYABLE. FOR FREE (with purchase of a ticket).
Guess what game was there? ROAD BLASTERS. I swear to god, I shit you not, the game Turbo hated the most was there. Fucking Road Blasters. Holy shit, the game is so much fun! It was a quarter guzzler, from the look of it, but the graphics were great and the controls were smooth like butter. I wish I had my own Road Blasters console, because I would play the shit out of it every day.
They also had a bunch of fighting games, Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker, Bust a Move, Tetris, Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr... it was friggin’ amazing. Holy shit I wish we had spent more time there, but it was hot as BALLS, and I was sweating like a madwoman.
I can’t believe that I’m a Wreck-It Ralph fan that has actually played Road Blasters. Turbo would hate me. Well, at least I wore a shirt with his face on it today. Heh... or is that insulting?
