Must be attuned by a Bard, and can be used as an arcane focus

A penknife that’s also a pen. It’s about 3 inches long with a retractable 3 inch blade. It’s dark blue with specks of white and green and the blade is a green electrum-steel alloy. It’s also known as “Baziel’s Barb”.

+1 to melee attacks and damage with weapon

+1 to spell save dc and spell attacks (when using as arcane focus)

Does 2d4 + DEX/STR piercing damage

Target must make a CHA save (bard’s spell save dc) or take an additional 2d4 psychic damage and be compelled to rhyme when speaking for the next minute. For the next minute each time they don’t rhyme they take 1d4 psychic damage.

For the next minute (if they fail the charisma save) you know the location of the target if you’re both on the same plane of existence. You know this because of the magical ink within the pen that was injected into the target when they were struck.

(If using 5e rules, when you attack with one light weapon you can attack with the penknife on the same action instead of using a bonus action.

If using 2024 rules, you can attack twice with the penknife as your second light weapon attack.)
