Batman (Volume 4) #7
Add a scene where your character and their archenemy get trapped in a room together for the longest hour of their lives.
I fully just reactivated my tumblr after reading the Renegades series by Marissa Meyer because it was just genuinely that good. The fandom is so small so I’ve been searchingggg for content
Renegades x PJO
Well, why not? They're both my favorite universes
Nova as the daughter of Zeus/Hefesto
Adrian as the son of Nemesis/Nike
Oscar as the son of Apollo/Hermes
Ruby as the daughter of Ares
Danna as the daughter of Iris/Hebe

While this is certainly my least favorite book in the trilogy, I still have so much love in my heart for this book.
Mostly, my issues with it simply lie in how quickly everything moves after the attack on the arena, how quickly everything is revealed and resolved.
But this is a wonderful finale, and I couldn't be more excited that we're getting more of this series and this world. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Just as I said in my re-review of Renegades, I think I definitely have everything I love about this book covered very thoroughly in my original review for this book.
I will say, a small criticism I have about these books is that the side characters just don't have the same kind of life to them as Adrian and Nova do. That isn't to say they're bad characters or that I dislike them, but they just don't have as much dimension.
That being said, it was so much fun to revisit this book. There was so much I forgot about this one, including but not limited to the ending in the catacombs and Max's quarantine. I don't know what I was smoking when I said this one didn't have the same action as the first book, because the ending of this book is incredibly action-packed.
Anyway, I love this book, perhaps most of the three Renegades books, and I'm so glad I forgot so much of it over the past 7 years!

When I went to Marissa Meyer's event in my hometown promoting The House Saphir, there were a fair few questions asked by my fellow attendees regarding the Renegades series, one of which was whether or not the spinoff/sequel teased in Supernova would come to pass. Well, she said yes, it would, once she was done with her current fairytale retelling universe...so of course I had to reread these books, too.
Everything I said in my thankfully-thorough review from 2018 below here still rings completely true. I love these books. I think Meyer sets up the conflict between Adrian and Nova so well here, what with both of their secret identities as well as their roles as Renegades and Anarchists.
It's lovely, I love this series. I'm so impressed with how well Meyer's work has held up. Such a joy to be reading all her old work again.
Archenemies by Marissa Meyer - Book Review!
Time is running out.Together, they can save the world. But they each other’s worst nightmare. In Renegades, Nova and Adrian (aka Insomnia and Sketch) fought the battle of their lives against the Anarchist known as the Detonator. It was a short-lived victory. The Anarchists still have a secret weapon, one that Nova believes will protect her. The Renegades also have a strategy for overpowering the…
