On a more serious note, after watching all of “Hawkeye”, I’m even more convinced now that the idea of having an archer character take a non-killing stance is stupid. First off, most of the Tracksuits that Clint and Kate were firing at during the trick arrow montage are dead. The guy whose leg got frozen is definitely dead, as well as the one who got shot up into the air with a rocket arrow.
Two, Fisk would’ve definitely been killed by Kate’s arrow. He was saved by his newfound superhuman strength and durability.
And then three, going back to episode 3, Kazi would’ve definitely died if the Pym arrow landed a bit differently.
But even without the trick arrows, Clint was killing people with regular arrow shots. And, like...yeah, why wouldn’t he be? He’s being attacked by dangerous gangsters and he has a bow and arrow, of course he’d be taking lethal shots. His and Kate’s lives were in danger!
“But didn’t he spare Maya by pinning her to the wall?” Well, okay, fine. But that was one person and he wasn’t being rushed by a bunch of bad guys at the same time. I don’t know, it just doesn’t make sense to me that Clint would be worried about making nonlethal hits during that situation. If he was so worried about killing people, then he should’ve chosen a weapon that’s more suited for that purpose. Like a shield or batons.
It’s like having John Wick only make nonlethal shots with his guns. Why even have guns then?
