viviane wants to trust her that she’s right. she has faith in her, believes in her skills, and yet she takes a moment to hesitate and think about it. maybe she won’t intentionally hurt or kill anyone but what if an accident happens? but what happens if she doesn’t do anything? after a few moment the lady finally nods, gesturing with her hand for elowyn to go ahead and do what she’s been meaning to do.    “alright, i trust you. but be careful, don’t make me regret this.”

what is time if not a way to assign attributes to a life? you’re old so you have to be wise. you’re young so you have to be naive. she has stopped counting too precisely. when you are as old as she is, the years slowly begin to lose meaning.    “why does it matter?”    it is not the point, she knows, but she cannot help but mess with her a little first.    “are you insinuating that i’m old? i sure hope that is not what you just did.”    and her expression becomes a bit more stern while deep inside a part of her is laughing. however, if that is what she has been trying to say; well, amren wouldn’t be pleased at all.    “i’ve been like this for longer than you can imagine. longer than i care to count.”

   rhysand starter for @archiveir

    lips thin as he places the last book in the stack back onto the others. weeks of research, years of thought, centuries of dreaming. and he is still as inconclusive in his findings as ever. is it perhaps childish if not even a bit wishful to think that this world isn’t all their is? perhaps it comes from a daring hope that if they are not alone in this world, that if this place isn’t all their is -- the one day he will find an answer to this. tonight, however he admits is not the night. reshelving the books he makes his way through the winding aisles to exit the library. 

   spotting a familiar face he detours briefly -- ‘ at last someone who also finds the quiet here all the more improved by midnight hours. though i find myself at a dead end for the night, how goes your work? ‘
