(Wednesday) I actually went to Lucent's Arctic Moon OTC set on (1/28/17), and it was amazing. It was my very first open to close set so I came in with an open mind. He pretty much started out with prog trance - like usual given the time - then moved onto his big hits during peak hours, and then closed the last hour with psytrance. I think most trance DJs strive for this since there's a clear line up energy progression. I honestly thought he would transition from uplifting to tech/uplift but didn't see the psy. If only Spin nightclub had more money to invest into better productions.
"Neon Light" is a return of what I knew Arctic Moon as - uplifting as fuck. "Data Ghost" was an odd track since it was tech-ish, and I liked his uplifting songs more. "Neon Lights" brings that feeling back again, with that beautiful vocal breakdown.
The only bad remark is the slightly over-autotuned vocals. You can hear it at 2:54 for "I want to be." It may be a stylistic addition since it was on the repeat, but I like my vocals sounding pure and real.
