Arctictale: River Person and Temmie

River Person and Temmie

River Person: Using the River Systems, River Person will ferry people around around the crater, for a small fee of course. They have a great wealth of knowledge on the residencies of the crater, seemingly knowing too much. And their connection to the Skele-brothers and Gaster is suspicious. Overall, they're generally friendly towards others, and enjoy small talk (and gossip).

Temmie: This peculiar feline(?) runs the Tem Shop near the Hot Springs. She hates the cold, so staying close to somewhere warm is only logical. Rumors say she has connections to a higher being, though no one seems to know what that means

Arctictale World: New Home Castle

While the bulk of Monsters live in New Home. The King and Queen live in the castle grounds. Complete with Throne Room, Court Yard, the iconic Judgement Hall, and everything that comes with it: Keep, Ward, Gatehouse, Barracks, etc, etc. The gates are always open to the citizens, and can enter and leave freely.

Arctictale: Toriel and Asgore

Toriel and Asgore

Toriel, Queen of the Crater. Still the doting mother you'd expect from Undertale. Wracked with grief and guilt for consistently failing to look after and take care of children. She wishes to regain trust from Asriel and Chara, and prove that she's a capable parent. Though, self doubt make's it difficult for her to move forward.

Asgore, King of the Crater. Share's a lot of the same issues that his wife, Toriel, has. As a king to his people, he spends more time governing and making sure the denizens are all taken care of. In truth, he uses work as an excuse to avoid the pain of the past. Both he and Toriel are Boss Monsters. Making them two of the strongest in the Crater, next to Asriel and Chara.

Arctictale World: New Home

Thermal vents, connected to the Core, are scattered around this Castle Town. While still cold outside, the homes are heated to room temperature, and the outside air is also not as cold, as long as you're in the town area. Behind the Castle, past the Royal Garden, lies a safe access point to the Barrier. Though non wish to break it.

New Home Basement Here lies the six humans who fell between Chara and Frisk. All lay frozen in stasis. In hopes that one day they'll be able to revive them all.

Undertale 9th Anniversary: ArcticTale

So busy this year. I started this one late, so I kinda had to rush it. And seeing how I'm gunna be busy the next few day, it's now or never to upload it, lol

My Submission for the Undertale Community Project: 2024 Hosted by: @arerona

No Chara's this year, well, except for the one from this AU.

ArcticTale is my Snow-Themed Undertale AU, which lines up with all my other Arctic themes if you've been a long term watcher of mine. Arctic Drift, my Splatoon OC group. And Arctic Arachne, my Sonic OC from way back when.

Should be no surprise I'd do the same with Undertale. Ice and Snow run thru me after all.

16 Characters, I'm glad I made ref's for them all, but still. I started on this less then a month ago, and normally I give myself 2 months to do big projects like this. so if it looks Rushed/Sloppy, it's cause it is, lol.

Anyway, I hope all the other community project participants also have fun with this. And can't wait to see everything compiled together ^ -^ Just 1 more week to go!!

Arctictale: Mettaton and Napstablook

Mettaton and Napstablook

Mettaton, the Star of the Frozen Crater. He provides entertainment for all residence's. Not too different in that regards to the original. Slight design modifications hear and their. Biggest difference design wise would be, instead stead of rolling around on a ball, he now has a Conversion Track a the back with a Ski Board at the Front. More useful for traversing the climate in the area. And his lights are cooler and more reminiscent of the Northern Lights.

Napstablook, the only Ghost cousin who didn't fuse with an object. A lot more chipper and positive than his Undertale counterpart. Still an introvert though. And still has a love of music. With loud people like Chara, Undyne, and Mad Mew Mew constantly sharing songs they've discovered, Blookly has no shortage of material to work with, and has a broad taste in music as well.

Arctictale World: Hotlands Well, it's really "Hotspings" in this world, cause it's full of Hot-Springs. Being so close to the core, all bodies of water in the zone are a Hot spring. It's easier for Vegetation to grow, and you'll even find the high school in that area. It connects to Waterfall, the Core, and New Home. Unlike original Undertale, you do not need to go through the Core to get to New Home.

And that's about it for this time. Don't have a lot to say this time, I'm also fighting a cold, so that could have something to do with it, but meh.

Arctictale: Muffet and Mettaton EX

Muffet, less hostel than her Undertale Counterpart. She runs the bakery in the Hot-Springs Resort. Her Chocolate and Pastries are the Best in the crater, leading to Chara being her #1 customer. And thanks to Alphys influence, she's adopted the Maid Style Cafe. She charges a premium of course. 

Mettaton EX, Owner of the MTT Resort located in the Hot-Springs Resort area, near the Core. This form is less energy efficient than his previous one, but it's also faster and more aggressive if need be. He only uses it for special occasions, or in times of need.

Arctictale World: Core A combination of Boiling Lakes, Dams, and Waterfalls. All used for generating energy for the residents of the Creator. This allows for electricity, telecommunications, and WiFi signals to run from The Ruins all the way through New Home. And with how few Monsters there actually are in the Crater, there's an over abundance of energy for all residence. Perhaps the extra is being used for something else...

Arctictale: Gaster and Alphys

Gaster and Alphys

W. D. Gaster will take on some fanon traits (cause I think they make sense), and of course some unique ones to my universe. Loosely based off the Mystery-Man model, with holes in hand for good measure. Honestly, I like these concepts, and that's good enough for me for story telling XD. Ice fills the cracks in his skull and holes in his hands. Cold air can usually be seen coming from his hands and breath (similar to Sans and Papyrus) in room temperature areas. And in true Undertale fashion, he is the top scientist. Gaster is the one who's responsible for saving Chara many years ago. Preventing them from dying, and having the story proceed as a "normal" Undertale story. However, this procedure was risky, and could have cost both Asriel and Chara their lives, which the King and Queen weren't to happy about. Luckily for everyone they both survived. Though the results meant that Chara and Asriels souls would be linked, and Toriel and Asgore would stop aging. Other than that, he spends most of his time as an advisor for the monsters in the crater, and keeps in touch with his two sons, Alphys, and Chara.

Alphys is Gaster's right hand when it comes to science. She's smart, calculating, and often over-analyses situations. She's the go to nurse/healer of the crater, and creator of Metatons body and, of course, Undyne's girlfriend (that story beat hasn't changed). She's fascinated by the soul link between Chara and Asriel, but doesn't pry because Asriel gets defensive when people bring it up. She also spends her time as a teacher for the students of Hotland. This is something she has in common with Toriel, and ends up having a good relationship with the King and Queen. When she meets Frisk, she is in awe of the little bean and is willing to help them out anyway possible. And of course, she's still a huge anime dork.

Arctictale World: Laboratory The place where Science and Magic come together as one. Also doubles as a hospital when someone is in need. At the intersection of Hotland and Waterfall, it acts as a central landmark for travelers between The Ruins and New Home. Medical research, soul research, magic research, and anime research (one of these things is not like the other). Lots of books are found here. And lots of tests as well. It's also where Gaster keeps his notes on the Core, but more on that later.
