#ardyn project

A small promo/teaser of my Ardyn fancomic featuring the main crew.  I’ll add color to it when I’m awake (it’s almost 5am here LOL) The more I draw them, the more in love with their designs I am considering that I can’t draw armor or clothes for smack xD  Names are yet to be revealed but rest assured that I am well over 50 pages of writing for this (and that’s just dialogue) and am so excited to share once I am absolutely certain that it meets my standards of perfection.  As I go along promoting this project to not only encourage you lovelies to engage in it, it also motivates me to go even further with giving samples here and there of the cast’s personality without so much as blatantly revealing it outright.

The crew are as follows: the Chosen (Ardyn, duh), the Seeker (girl on the left), the Shield (dude in the back), and the Lancer (dude on the right).  Ardyn and his three friends must band together to purge the Starscourge from the remains of the ruined Solheim and return light to Eos.

As always, thoughts are always welcome~  Unless they’re flames in that case, I’m quite sensitive to burns x___x

Running on two hours of sleep but really wanted to do some character designs for Ardyn and his merry band while it is fresh in my mind.  I’ll draw them all in various outfits to share, but right now I’m really digging these ones. This one features the man himself and another main character in my project that he interacts with that I’ll semi-introduce to you lovely viewers. She has a name but for now you can call her Seeker.  I’ll let you ponder over their design and you are more than free to share your thoughts on them (I say this as I realize I effed up Ardyn’s scarf) ;] Until next time, darlings~

Alright, so here’s a bit of comic practice/sneak preview for my upcoming project :3 It will take time, but rest assured that I am consistently driving myself to tell you my story on Ardyn’s past.

The panel itself: here we have him gazing out at something.  This is not from the project’s storyline, however I wanted to reveal to you a bit of my take on his personality 2000 years prior to the game’s storyline.  At one point, he wasn’t someone plotting any sort of vengeance or moving in any sort of way motivated by spite or cynicism.  At one point, he was a man like any other who had the luxury to feel content, to relax, and to ponder without any sort of ulterior motive.  At one point, Ardyn was very human and I wish to portray that in a way that makes him feel like someone one can relate to and form a bond with as they follow his tale.  Because we all know that in the end, he did not stay this way. Thoughts?
