good morning i have work soon.. but i’m thinking so much about how much of haIsin’s family perished when he was younger, and so he barely remembers their names. he’d come from a rather ancient bloodline, but they slowly thinned out due to illness or tragedy.
he hadn’t spent nearly enough time with his grandparents, and he hardly remembers the names of his brothers and sisters (their adult names, rather, but their childhood titles stayed with him longest). haIsin respected his father, but adored his mother.. giving himself her title after her passing while keeping the name she’d given him at birth.
they’re all buried alongside each other beneath the grandfather tree in the high forest and from a young age, was likely led to the emerald grove in which he’d spent the rest of his time.
hal is no stranger to tragedy and loss, and with each dreadful event after the other that takes place in his life, it’s no wonder he carries the belief that nothing good lasts forever.
