Friendly reminder that you don't have to interact with people that ship things that you don't ship and it's a way easier thing to do than saying these people that they're weird, that their ships are unvalid, harassing them or even saying that they're pedophiles just because you're jealous/don't like it.

I want to make sure we talk about this, because it’s important. I, as an older sister to a brother at 10 years of age, have already gone over menstruation with him. Boys my age still regularly gag or are uncomfortable when periods are mentioned, but I am making sure he is ready. Because soon enough, other girls in his class will have periods, and I do not want him to be that guy. My hope right now is that he becomes well-educated on normal, human bodily functions so he can be mature. 

And to anyone who is worried about talking to their younger sibling or child, you really don’t have to worry. You just need mutual respect to get a proper response that doesn’t include disgust.

My brother, while annoying, can also be wonderful. If I on my period, he’ll offer me some of his chocolate. Or he’ll give me a little note. Keep pads in his bag for me. It’s so sincere, so wonderful, why would anyone keep that from a child?
