(strawman) last thing bro i’m sorry: so basically, your argument is that people who devote themselves to dehumanizing dream… dehumanize him. i mean yep! that’s true. there are certainly bad takes on dream. i think the issue is that people have different definitions of what an “anti” of a character means, and some people also draw conclusions from someone not being sympathetic with Fictional torture and then use that to make claims about their Personal views.

alright, let's recount. the majority of the fandom heavily dislikes c!dream. the people who dislike him most call themselves c!dream antis. these people make an effort to portray him as irredeemable and lesser than a person. these takes are untrue and upsetting despite the fact we know they are fiction. i don't care if people aren't sympathetic. everywhere you go, stream chats, twitter, tumblr, even instagram - any media this fanbase is in there will be people saying these things. i call these people c!dream antis, not the ones that just dislike him. i do not generalize, nor does anyone else, we're rightfully upset at this attitude. we oftentimes get harrassed for disagreeing with these takes and people saying we shouldn't feel bad for him or we're "being manipulated" will get thousands of likes. c!dream antis are not the ones that are being hurt by us "strawmanning". we're just trying to enjoy something. we're just trying to defend enjoying it the way we do. we're getting upset when we get told it is wrong or that the character we like should suffer or be hated. we speak out about our disagreement. that's it. it's not wrong, so don't make it out to be.
