The Wrath of Mama Bear

Nehasa yawns and rubs her violet eyes while following her father who leads her to an open field.  It’s unclear how much of Masamune she inherited but today may shed some light on that. The child is only a small toddler and with how early it is, she isn’t used to getting up before dawn.

  She has no idea that her father grew up differently from her background. She never knew that he had to learn to fight at a very early age. The little girl isn’t aware of her parents arguing on how to raise her. Whether to train her to be a warrior at an early age or live her life as a normal child.  Harmony is still asleep at home, unaware that Masamune has taken it upon himself to start Nehasa on her path of a fighter.

“Daddy...” Nehasa mumbles, “Where are we going? Where is Mama?”

     “I didn’t realize swords had feelings.” Maybe Masamune was offended that it landed in the trash.

“Masamune, are you alright?” Sun approached the other, unsure if he wanted to be touched, her hand out stretched in offering. 

“Looks like you took a nasty tumble.” She tried to give him a soft smile though it felt so forced to her.

“Are you feeling okay?” (Argentumexitium)

A smile was a simple, practiced defense; Lazard had been polishing his ‘I’m fine’ face since he was a child. He couldn’t help but wonder where he’d slipped up, what had alerted the blade that he wasn’t feeling as well as he pretended to be. Last time he’d looked in the mirror he hadn’t been particularly pale, but perhaps, at least, it was clear he was tired. And he’d gone through several bottles of water trying to keep the gravel out of his throat... perhaps that had been less successful than he’d thought?

Still, he smiled. And tried one last time to pretend everything was fine. He had far too much to do to take a break for something like this. “Quite alright, Masa, thank you. Did you need something?”

“I’m stressed and ready to supplex everybody I see, but what else is new -- someone has to look after all of these overgrown children.” Some days the usual saccharine sweetness the lady of the office was famous for was just tucked aside and her more sarcastic personality shone through. Heaving a sigh, she hugged Masamune tighter, almost burying her face in his hair. 

“...I’m also lonely, but, you know...hahahahaha....what else is new.” He would, of course, understand exactly why she felt lonesome.
