Todayâs random thought:
So, I had a verse where Crisis did successfully befriend Sephiroth. Sadly, that roleplay is no longer on Tumblr, but damn if I donât keep old relationships and verses close to my heart. Anyways, she inherited his coat from him and Masamune.
Now, most of my verses has it that she either never finds out about her bio-dad being President Shinra or she finds out really LATE (thinks in between Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus). The idea I had is: someone spilled the beans much too early/at a critical moment: aka when Sephiroth??? made his way into Shinra somehow to get Jenova.
Now itâs clear a lot of people died. But if you notice not a LOT of people actually died, with the exception of everyone unfortunate enough to be found on the Science Dept floors, minus Cloud and co. I always found it odd that other than the bloody trail, you donât find evidence anybody else actually gets killed beyond the Science Dept.Â
That is, until you reach President Shinra.
Granted the remake has things to say, but honestly, Iâm going off the OG here, so ignore the remake and whatever it may have included (although I vaguely recall the same lack of bodies on the upper floors, too). Palmer survived, but who knows what he actually saw. Itâs ânightâ, itâs kinda dimly lit in the office, he could have been drunk or not paying attention when he could have witnessed the death of the President.
Now itâs a well known fact that Crisis inherited the coat. What wasnât spread around was that she also inherited Masamune. That was kept quiet for whatever reason.
Someone tells her about who she really is in the grand scheme of things. Someone also tells her what the President has done. Couple this with the eventual truth she manages to drag out from the depths of encrypted files. Add to that in very verse she always inherits âa rage that cannot be quelledâ, aka the despair of the SOLDIERs who lost their lives in the name of Shinra.
She also started getting pale hair that could be mistaken as white. And if youâre really blind, maybe silver, before she starts really dying it blonde, to hide a disease affecting her...
During the chaos of AVALANCH apparently sneaking into the building, of another entity killing off employees....in all that resulting mayhem and chaos, Crisis, now known as Kain....
Stabs President Shinra in the back to finally just end his reign already, under the guise of someone else wearing a âblack capeâ. She hid her crime well enough, but honestly, even a bit of scrutiny from the Turks would have had her in chains quite easily. But honestly, nobody would really care in the end.
Anyways TLDR: In another universe, Crisis murders President Shinra.
