How do you think Gellert felt about Ariana? Were they friends?

I think they were. I think they both felt like outsiders due to their extra abilities (Gellert being a seer and Ariana being a obscurial) they both were mad at the world due to their tragedy.

However as much as Gellert did like her, I do think he found it irritating that Albus had to take care of her and I don’t think he suggested her going with them out of the goodness of his heart. Rather because he really wanted to travel with Albus soon and it was the only way to do so. I don’t think he’d make any sacrifices to take care of her.

Ultimately Gellert found her to be a tragic interesting individual but was annoyed how she tied Albus to the village.
