I started reading Witchy yesterday and felt like doing an ink illu today to practice so here are some main characters!
So Witchy! Is really cool! Let me copy the about real quick: “Witchy updates every Tuesday. It is written and drawn by Ariel Ries*, an animation student in Melbourne, Australia.
In the witch kingdom Hyalin, the strength of your magic is determined by the length of your hair. Those that are strong enough are conscripted by the Witch Guard, who enforce the law in peacetime and protect the land during war. However, those with hair judged too long are pronounced enemies of the kingdom, and annihilated. This is called a witch burning.Witchy is the story of a young witch named Nyneve. Terrified of the Guard, and of being enlisted, she hides her long hair from everyone but her mother.“

The characters are great (my favourite’s Prill on the right) and the story is starting to pick up speed, so if you like fantasy and well-developed characters go give it a try! (it’s on tapastic too)
Ugh I actually don’t especially like the lines on this, i think they got too... dead. I thought I should do a proper sketch because i didn’t trust myself with all the hair and stuff but i ended up doing it too precise and the inking got boring... funny how that works sometimes.
Also I love how Prill and Nyneve start getting along better and respecting each other, but I don’t think they’ll ever stop butting heads now and then <3
