Explanation:
I notice these traits a lot in people, and it makes sense to me why someone with, for example, a Scorpio Sun can’t always fully embody their own traits. Some of them are actually afraid of change, shadow work, or transformation, while someone with Aries in the 8th house is often able to deal with change, discomfort, and self-transformation multiple times more than other Scorpio placements.
In my past posts, I’ve talked about how Aries in your birth chart represents your greatest strength, but also the area where you’re most afraid to be vulnerable. This is usually because it’s also the area where you were mistreated or abused in the past. Over time, you end up learning again and again how to stand up for yourself or fight for yourself in that area to reclaim what others once underestimated about you. This leads you to practice it repeatedly, like training for a gold medal in a sport, since Aries rules passion and action, until you become better at it than most people.
This would only be embodied if they choose to work on their issues or vulnerability. On the unhealthy side, this can turn into destructive or violent tendencies, depending on the planet or house involved. For example, an unhealthy Aries in the 8th house might become power-hungry, obsessive, or vengeful, similar to an unhealthy Scorpio trait, when they become overly competitive, threatened, or defensive.
