Would you guys mind boosting my artist advice blog? It's @artists-avenue and I'm currently looking for mods
No problem, here you go: https://artists-avenue.tumblr.com
However, you might want to consider adding more details or a “hook” to the currently empty blog - what is the focus that is going to keep you, any moderators, and readers coming back to the blog, long-term?
You say “artist advice”; do you intend the advice to cover anatomical studies, colour theory, canvas stretching, paint mixing, promoting and selling your art, layout, lighting, textures, drawing from reference, choosing/using brushes?
Will you cover analogue art - oils, watercolours, acrylic, charcoal, or other? What about photography, sculpture, glass and ceramic art, found objects art, performance art?
If digital, will you focus on any specific software or platform? Does that include fractals, animation, 3D, image processing, image manipulation, image restoration? Vector, raster, pixel art, printing issues?
Will you have a thematic or framework focus? Landscapes, portraits, surrealism, animals, comics, realism, colours, political caricatures, My Little Pony fan art, zen art, still life?
You might also want to list your own strengths and coverage, and what parts you need other moderators to cover (for example, if I recall correctly, when I and Squishy were fortunate enough to join EFA, Ani already had general and Mac issues well covered and was looking for moderators with more Windows and Android experience).
I would also strongly suggest you start regularly adding your own content to the blog (and specifically contribute your own original content or advice, not only reblogs or copy-paste content), even before you get any other moderators or questions. If you are offering advice to other people, presumably you have an area of expertise you can start with.
A few weeks or months of content will demonstrate that you have the dedication and interest and knowledge to continue, and this is not a one-off Sunday afternoon boredom thing, that you are willing to provide months and possibly years of quality advice. For example, from the very beginning of EFA, Ani was already posting original FireAlpaca tips, news, and FireAlpaca art, as well as answering questions. Good content will attract interest.
