As much as it made him anxious to have actually talked to Jason after the ordeal of being out for so long and having expected to die, Bambi was actually rather happy to have gotten to. He wanted so badly to simply call him at first, but small fingers reminded him that sleep was a necessity and he had to rest first before he could actively go about talking to someone. During the moments he was talking to him though, through texts and recordings, Cora had done what she seemed to be in the habit of doing; she’d left the room for a moment to give him privacy. However, she was quick to return to his side when she didn’t hear anymore talking outside the door. Those small wings betraying her content to be back at his side on the bed, he couldn’t help but to smile and simply wrap her back up in his long limbs. Ultimately, the comfort and relaxation it brought easily put him back to sleep despite his worries and wants to stay awake to greet Jason when he arrived with Lucie.
Cora was delighted either way, snugly tucked into her Pare’s side and receiving sleepy wing pets from him was always something she enjoyed. Her small frame easily fitting into that tiny space left on the bed, she had almost fallen asleep until she heard something crackling. Golden hues wide and alert, she sat up to peek over Bambi’s arm to see what was going on. Before she was taken in here, crackling was never a good sign. She’d almost gotten used to hearing it after the others came and went spontaneously, but it didn’t calm her anxiety any when she took note of a very large man alongside the android Tazmanian Devil (who was quicker to depart than she arrived) standing in the room. Tiny finger hastily papped at her father’s face, gently trying to wake him with small whimpers until he finally came to and blearily looked around. He could feel her wings flapping and flittering away between his arms and recognized the sign, looking up in his drowsy haze to find Jason.
He’d already told him the reason he’d nearly been killed, but he hadn’t exactly told him the rest of it. (Whoops.) Either way, he was no less fast on the draw in calming his angel down. Bandaged fingers carefully swept through her two toned hair and he gently rubbed her back as reassuring words were given. “Shh. Its okay, Cora. He’s safe, a really good person, I promise. This is Jason, aquest és l'home que estimo." He’d spoken of Jason to her in sleepy drawls and half awake talks when she was sneakily getting him to teach her a few phrases in his native tongue, which meant she settled down quite quickly when told who he was. Those little wing flutters slowed to a few twitches, speckled feathers shaking with each small move as she turned those large gold eyes on Jason again.
Cora had the habit of ‘owl eyeing’ people, wide eyes and slow blinks, she stared at someone as if to see right through them. After a few moments of taking in his features, her tiny hands left Bambi’s features to be held out towards him. She didn’t speak very much at first, with anyone, so Bambi took the liberty of doing so for her when he straightened himself to let her sit up properly. “She wants y’ t’ c‘mere. Meet th’ li’le girl I mentioned fr’m bef’re. Sunshine, y’ gotta say somethin’ t’ ‘im or he’ll never get t’ hear y’er pretty voice. Its s’alright, tell ‘im y’er name.” She blinked a few times, looking between the two for a moment before she finally piped up. “Cora Soleil, s’what pare named me. He’s my pare and I’m his filla.” She looked rather proud, smiling a bit instead of just having that wide eyed look to her when she pronounced the words right. “Filla means daughter an’ Pare means dad, daddy when said by a kid,” he clarified, knowing Jason didn’t know much Catalan besides the few words and phrases he’d explained before now.
