You know it's gonna be an eventful day when at the end of armed exhibition practice in the morning you think "why does my rifle feel so slippery?" Then you look down to see it covered in your own blood and go "Oh, that's why." It wasn't even a bad cut, it just bled a lot.

Here is my brand new very-own drill rifle that I got for Christmasukkah!

My family bought it for me from Glendale Parade Store, which is an actual store in New Jersey and an all-access website that sells products that will cater to many of your drill related needs (rifles, uniform accessories, flags, etc). It’s a great, moderately priced method of getting what you need and pretty quickly shipped directly to your door. It’s my favorite place; check it out when you get the opportunity or time to do so.

My rifle is a white stock/chrome metal 1903 Springfield Replica. It’s gorgeous, weighs approximately 8.5 pounds. It came with the removable orange tip which I will be leaving on so that I don’t lose it and I will need it to spin out in public (which I definitely plan to do, my neighborhood has great spinning locations). The rifle came in the box completely assembled and in perfect condition. The packaging itself was really serious stuff - it was a box within a sturdier box all fixed together with strong tape, so it was protected pretty well in my opinion. It’s the same model as we use for competition from my unit’s armory, so i’m psyched about finally being able to practice at home and get some real time with a rifle on my own with an accurate size (height, weight, etc) rifle. Someday I could be commander of the Armed Exhibition Team since i’ll be one of two people left of the original team once the vast majority graduates. I need to be prepared for that to be a possibility and my spinning has to inspire the future of the team to learn more about independent drill and being a soloist.  I’m so glad I got what I asked for. Pictures from my drill meet yesterday. We placed third in armed ex, unarmed ex, unarmed reg, and armed reg then third overall. I commanded unarmed reg and was on armed ex and armed color guard. We could of done better but I'm still proud of everyone who preformed! These are some of my favorite people.

Super cool stuff. Helped me and my team expand drill vocabulary significantly, making us arguably more successful as soloists and as a Armed Exhibition Drill Team.
