Radio mystery on Armed Forces Network

The Best Vaccine and Flu Commercials: Why haven’t they been shown in the states?!!
So I grew up in the military and if your parents were overseas, you watched the Armed Forces Network (AFN)
While I was living overseas there was pandemic flu, avian flu and swine flu epidemics going on so the AFN produced commercials encouraging basic precautions like hand washing, staying home when ill, and getting flu shots.
These were darkly comedic and informative.
These first two stop motion looking animated commercials were so popular three more were made with different animation (possibly flash).

AFN's bridesmaid-dress humor

There is a 'commercial' that plays on AFN here too frequently that came to mind when I read your response. It is pitching common sense couched as 'genius' as one of the public service breaks AFN has to show to fill time when commercial tv would be showing commercials. A girl is standing on a lawn with a nice house behind, and rows of empty white chairs between her and the house. The sister is in a blue strapless gown and while facing the camera is talking about how her sister was the smart one, got good grades, joined the USMC and now that she is getting married, has all of her paperwork for passports, visas (presuming a honeymoon trip - not well written as it is never said) etc for she and her fiance.
"The current United States government shutdown means that the Armed Forces Network has also been shut down. Our troops overseas were not able to watch the week’s WWE TV shows, including Battleground, which is shown for free. There was also no NFL football shown yesterday."
