who does most of the cleaning: stanley seems to generally clean up after himself, though he does tend to be a bit slobbish, and rick… not so much…
what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: stanley pays for it, rick controls it.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: rick. and its never, ever, ever pretty.
who steals the blankets: rick steals the blankets now and then. usually when he does that stanley just picks him up like a cat and places him on his tumtum/chest. its effective.
who leaves their stuff around: RICK, ALWAYS
who remembers to buy the milk: they always go to the grocery store together to get milk but pretty much buy literally everything but milk. then as soon as they get home they realize they forgot the milk and they’re pissed as hell. neither of them remember the milk.
who remembers anniversaries: they both remember, but they both play it cool and act like theyve both forgotten. they get each other subtle, stupid cheesy gifts. like stanley gets rick a pen that says “SCIENCE RULES!” and rick gets stanley like… i dont know… an OBEY snapback or something.

when or if I started shipping it: years ago, many years ago, like... five years ago i guess? i would watch top cat on boomerang late at night and i found their dynamic to be the most entertaining and i watched the long hot winter with a friend late at night and we were talking about it and we agreed that it was really gay and they were like dads to tc’s gang
my thoughts: jabberjaws the shark was canonically and explicitly attracted to a human woman and always wanted a kiss from her, so why cant TC be in love with a cop who he canonically and explicitly says has beautiful dreamy eyes??? hmm??? hmm?? answer that, hanna-barbera
What makes me happy about them: their vitriolic best buds dynamic, how they often make snide and sarcastic comments about each other but genuinely care about each other and go to ridiculous lengths for each other... how they worry about each other when they think something bad happened to each other...
What makes me sad about them: the most i can think of is that since it takes place in the 60s a relationship between the two of them would be looked down upon,,,
things done in fanfic that annoys me: implying there actually is fanfic? lmao...

Hmm Marceline or Amethyst?
Hmm... Amethyst is pretty great, her development and her background is fantastic and compelling! And she has some really funny moments, sometimes.
But I’d have to say that Marceline a bit more likable of a character. She doesn’t appear that often, sure, and I’ve had my beef with her... but while Amethyst isn’t bad or unlikable, at times her actions can be... a little hard for me to watch... you know, in comparison?
