I'm sure these will boost conversation at any family holiday gathering.
happy sailout day ⚓️
i recently took to relearning embroidery stitches and i’m quite pleased with this one!! i printed and traced the bottom of the james fitzjames letter he sent to elizabeth coningham john barrow (thank you @jamesfitzjamesdotcomand) and kept the last line which feels poignant.
next time i think i’d try to make the lettering bigger so the strokes are smoother. and make armfish’s bicep just a wee bit less hench.
Today I learned that in a letter, James Fitzjames drew this little guy and my life is now irrefutably changed
absolute art
While armfish is the star of this drawing, I also think about how Fitzjames sent John Barrow a half-naked selfportrait...
[Fitzjames to John Barrow Jr, 10 July 1845. RGS, my pictures]
Deeply unserious bit of crafting based on a deeply unserious anecdote for my @theterrorbingo fill for 'it was meant as a joke', I present: armfish, H U G E
He's almost 2 feet long and weighs more than 1.5 lbs
Got matching armfish on our upper thighs. Facetiously telling everyone we're betrothed now (not actually our thing).
Bottom pic included for the bisexual lighting. :)
Completed my Terror pin hoop!
