finished fixing my helmet! the grill didn't go down far enough to completely protect my chin, and I had put an extension on my gorget to fix that issue on my last helmet, but with this helm the gorget extension kept running into the chin strap and pushing it off. so instead we added a metal bit to the helmet!
this was one of my first times working with metal, most of my kit is leather, but my dad helped me with it. it was fun! I feel real butch now :)
Just imagine for a second that my winter jacket is a gambeson. Pretty neat, ey?
