these are no times for tolerance
In 2300 AD, somewhere within the last twenty years, Earth (or at least America) has been conquered by the Alantians. Alantians can move forward and backward in space and time and its unclear where Alantis is, but what is known is that after thousands of years the Alantians are reclaiming the universe. They are humanoid like, except for an extra eye on the back of their heads. Their first surprise attack was so successful that America surrendered right away. After the major cities were conquered, the smaller towns were being taken over. America is being run by a satellite hovering over Washington. Anyone who resisted were assumed to be atomized (actually it was a transmit beam sending them to Atlantis). Cities were placed on rations, schools closed, and the children were indoctrinated in the Atlantian version of the Hitler Youth (and any child who turned in for traitor talk or actions was offered a free hovercraft). When the people of one small town fought back and found out that the weapon was actually a transporter, they started a revolt that spread from city to city sending the invaders back with their own device. In 2300, common honeymoons involved trips on space shuttles or submarines to underwater cities. ("Invaders from Atlantis" CBS Radio Mystery Theater, radio)

“The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door.” So begins this Dimension X story starring Arnold Moss and Joan Alexander.
