Sorry in advance for this vent. I run a Starfox discord server and it used to be a really fun place full of theories and discussion ab characters and worldbuilding, but lately its mostly folf shippers. I get so tired of every single mention of wolf or fox being about them being gay for each other. I dont get how people can find ships so interesting as to cancel out everything else. Ive not heard mention of any friendships in months. Im so tired

man it's really cool how i say i headcanon a character who is in his 30s and says he's never had a crush before as aro and i get half a dozen people telling me that actually sweetie that's gay coding and you're being homophobic uwu

Big yikes (block them all tbh) it’s not homophobic to headcanon someone as aro unless they’re like, an actual canon gay or something. You haven’t done anything wrong, and I’m sorry people are harassing you.

mmm i just need to rant for a sec. there's an anime that's super popular right now and it's good, i liked it, but the shippers/fandom ruined it for me. like, they just shove all the characters into relationships and it makes me SO MAD bc there's like no romance in it (at least as far as i've seen)? like one girl had a crush, but she never acted on it and it was mentioned like once. i'm really tempted to just blacklist the whole title bc i'm so annoyed with it. anyway, thanks for this blog!!!

Oh boy big yikes. I mean, yeah blacklisting the whole title might work. You could just blacklist every relationship you see but that would probably be a bit time consuming. However, your vent did just give me an idea so thank you for that.

Quick vent - a while ago I posted a qpr fic that centered a lot on a character’s aromanticism, put my fucking soul in it and it barely got any attention, granted the ship it featured wasn’t the most popular but I feel like people see “qpr” or “aro character” and just go past
